957 Cities now sell E85

Recommended Posts

Guys, they've got the "Crack" spread down to, almost, zero.  Any further increases in the price of oil will "Have" to show up in the price of gasoline.  Those margins should start getting higher, soon.

We've bottomed out in the Dallas/Ft Worth area and we're up .20 per gallon in the last 2 weeks, E85 included.  The lowest I've seen E85 here is $2.32. Kroger has said in a trade journal the E85 is a cash cow and in the cities where they're the only player they will maintain a maximum of .30 per gallon spread.  In some cities they're making a $1.10 a gallon.

Kroger and Meijer also ..could careless about bringing the cost to at least "equal" (15-25% less than unleaded) the price of gasoline , they are simply looking at margins ..

It is great Kroger brought it into your market but they sure could use some competition if they are making that kind of money. Most likely the second to enter the market will do the same unfortunately.

Rufus- you are correct- current 3/2/1 crack spreads point to a rash of turnarounds that will come and then by Jan/Feb? some serious creep starting- next summer $3.50-$4.00 NL? The one thing to keep in mind though is that late Nov- Christmas is always lower than October.
