I had received several reports from the field stating the following:

·  Consumers can no longer buy the Yukon, Tahoe or Suburban as FFVs. Only fleets, no way around it.

·  Consumers can buy the Sierra and Silverado as an FFV, but now you have to pay an extra $100 for the option.

GM Corporate really beat around the bush on this one, but finally admitted both were true. So, their most popular SUVs ever are not FFVs, despite what they told us and DOE pre-MY15. This will definitely put a dent in FFV numbers for 2015.

Yesterday, E=85 Flexfuel capability was showing as a $100 option on Silverado here on the GM Family First employee purchase website.:

https://www.gmfamilyfirst.com/ip-vpp/gm-showroom?site=emp-build

This morning, Flexfuel is showing STANDARD on the V6, and a FREE OPTION  on the 5.3 Liter V-8.

The $100 surcharge disappeared overnight.

Interesting.

That's good news. A lot of guys on the gm-trucks website with 2015's are kind of disappointed to find out their trucks were not ffv when all the 2014's were. Hopefully GM will keep it as a standard option. Doesn't make much sense not too with all parts already the same except the exclusion of the sensor and the fuel mapping in the ecm.
