gasisoutrageous 85 Report post Posted September 12, 2014 On a price run this afternoon, I stopped at the Shell in Saugatuck, MI. E85 is $2.519, and E10 is $3.519... as this station is one of the yellow hose stations. But here's the kicker: Rec-90 Ethanol Free is $4.719/gallon! $1.20/gallon if you hate ethanol. $2.20/gallon if you hate ethanol and are even dumber to put it in your flex fuel vehicle! dan45mcc 53 Report post Posted September 12, 2014 E0 prices crazy.. that's why I wanted to add E0 to E85Prices.com for comparison..
gasisoutrageous 85 Report post Posted September 13, 2014 I was talking with Joe how if the octane was the reason you chose Rec-90, it's $1.05 higher for one octane point than Midgrade (89). You can get 93 octane with the small amount of ethanol for $3.919. Still far cheaper than a gasoline with 3 fewer octane points.
Billyk24 16 Report post Posted September 13, 2014 I saw race pump gas (E0) in a Western Michigan yellow hose station going for $7.79 per gallon!
cessna 9 Report post Posted September 14, 2014 Just think what prices would be if we 100% dependent on BIG OIL. Bet they'd throw in a shortage, also, just because.
