Corn down to $4.30 a Bushel

Recommended Posts

I combined corn yesterday putting most in the drying bin. I decided to take one load to town and found out I'm glad I have a bin on the farm---it was hard to find a place to get in line waiting to dump the semi load.  Corn is running 22 to 23% moisture and yielding around 200 bushels per acre. After the drying charge of 34 cents per bu., if I sell right now, I can get $3.82 per bushel. The ethanol plant is bidding 13 cents more but won't take over 18.9% moisture.
