Anyone else see extreme E85 price fluctuation in their town?

Recommended Posts

We have about 5 or 6 gas stations in the Rockford, IL area that sell E85.  When I filled up with E85 for the first time in my Grand Cherokee few weeks ago, i spent $3.09 a gallon.  The station 4 miles up the road was about $3.43.  I was thinking maybe because the one I fill up with is not located in the city limits.  Filled up last Friday with E85.  The station I used the 1st time was $3.19.  The other station that was $3.43 is now $3.71!  So now the price spread is over 50 cents a gallon between the two stations, and they are located 5 minutes away.  What's the norm in your neck of the woods?  Has E85 gone up in the same increments as regular gas or has it stayed roughly the same?  Here it looks like we have a little bit of both.

There's 4 within about a 10mi area of where i live and theyre usually the same or within 10cents max of each other.  I'm guessing the one station in your area is trying to capitalize on ffv and hope people just see its less than 87 and fill their tanks.  Go in and ask them why they think theyre worth $10 more per tank than the other guy and see what they say.

not much at all fluxuation here...

The gas prices are bobbing up and down all over the place... sometimes twice a day...

e85 has been (at the WELL prices stations ;) ::)) locked in at $2.94 for about 2 weeks now.

If you go back 1 month... e85 has gone up 20 cents

same period and gas has gone up 30 cents... 8)

e85 here has had a very slow and steady inching up, no downs at all (yet)... ::)
