Best Wideband Air/Fuel under $200

Recommended Posts

The Malibu sounds like it is running perfect on E60-E65 but still irritating to not know exact A/F  would like some recommendations on  solid air/fuel wideband setup ..preferable a standalone system ..but will consider just using Laptop for display..would be nice if it also displays DTCs and be able to clear them but not necessary..

Main focus is simply to be able to monitor A/ F as I am splash blending to ensure I dont go lean to often or to long..

Morning Cessna ..thats nice to be able to have a constant visual

I am also looking at simply getting a new OBD11 that does live Fuel Trims ..less than $100 !

The Owners Manual shows all the fuel trims and O2 sensor currents bottom of page http://www.auteltech.com/pdf/MS509_Manual_V1.01.pdf

I'd highly recommend some type of OBD scanner over an O2 meter.  The meter will do AFR and that is it.  The scanner will give you a readout of all monitored engine parameters, plus the ability to read, reset codes.

I have the Hondata ECU in the Acura which shows EVERYTHING and allows for custom displays.  I also have an OBD II Scanner from obddiagnostics.com A little less than $100 (or around $50 if you're handy with soldering), it's worked perfectly for years.  You can download an try the software in simulation mode. Though if you don't want to lug around a laptop, you'd likely have to go with a self-contained scanner.

I see no mention of the new model that was supposed to be out by now. You might inquire before purchasing, Dan.

Firmware or entirely new model?  For $58 geez I dont see how can go wrong with all that it does even for the "old" version ..main concern is fuel trims and this wil display as I am driving ..BigGReen that is correct .. ..have you set a Fuel Trim "page" on yours ?

From the manual anyways looks that way http://ultra-gauge.com/ultragauge/support/ultragauge_user_manual.pdf
