E85 Content in Colorado? - really 80% or worse?

The higher up you go the less detonation you'll experience.  There is a lot less air and the chances of detonation decrease, equally whether your normally aspirated or not.

It's supposed to work that way, but they sell 91 octane up here at maximum. If they sold 93 it would be less of a problem, but we still get detonation up here even on E85. It's a "heat" thing and typically happens in the summer with heat-soak or if your motor is really cold in the winter.
