GM Flex Fuel Sensor

Recommended Posts

GM has moved to a "virtual" sensor for flex fuel vehicles.  This link:  http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/jk/060322.htm  is one of the more recent articles that detail the move towards computer software.  This is true for my Escape Hybrid "test" vehicles.

You are asking about this item:  flex_fuel_sensorsiemensvdo.jpg  which I understand has had long term reliability issues.

Getting our hands on the OEM software is problemsome.

I dont need the OEM software, as long as I have the sensor I can do what I want with it. I just need to have a frequency to voltage converter built and I am good, here is a link.....  http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=288793

Heres an after  market alternative solution on good ol Ebay .. $75 1 closes in an hour

nice but how does this test the ethanol content and then make that info available to the ECU? From the description it is just a box that bypasses a broken flex sensor.

"With the Replicator installed, your vehicle?s ability to operate on high blend bio-fuels, like E85, is removed."

Is this what you want? ???

oops..guess I should read the entire scoop first  :P

They need to DROP the "Flex Fuel Sensor Replicator" tag line .

ooops again./. Now I read.. T&S also has the capability to custom manufacture a Replicator to any customer?s desired fuel alcohol level from 0 to 100%.

also seems like everyone is happy with the replicator http://feedback.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=tselectronics816&ftab=AllFeedback&myworld=true

It would make your vehicle a regular gasoline powered vehicle

I'm sorry, you have the wrong forum here... this is for users that WANT to use ethanol... do you make a sensor that makes the vehicle  a "regular ethanol powered vehicle"?  That would be of interest on here ;)

Try plugging this product on "gasbuddy" or some other ethanol bashing site... ::)
