  1. I have a 2012 Focus, not branded as Flex fuel. I would love to run E85 in it if it won't cause any problems. (I don't imagine it will but don't want to risk my warranty) Rob
  2. Hey guys there is a new station in NC, address below. E85 was 3.559 on March 11, 2012. Crown Express Mart – 1210 New Bern Ave., Raleigh, NC 27610
  3. Hey guys there is a fairly new station in NC, address below. E85 was 3.559 yesterday. Crown Express Mart – 1210 New Bern Ave., Raleigh, NC 27610
  4. Hey guys, I needed to fill up my '95 LT1 Caprice today. I have been mixing to about E30 for months without issue. Unleaded 87 around here is $3.20 to $3.25. (lowest I saw was $3.12) Imagine my surprise when I stopped at the one station around here with E85 and it was $3.59. Shell in Cary, NC. Had to go with straight 87. I know we have one more new station in Raleigh, I will try to check them out on the way home. Unleaded for $3.12 and E85 for $3.59 is crazy. Rob
  5. Thanks guys. I'll try to add some prices to the database for the Raleigh stations. It will be later in December as I'm soon heading to China/Thailand until Dec 14. Rob
  6. My buddy lives the next county over and has a 2000 something Ford Explorer. He was complaining how it would ping on 87, and he had to run high test in it. There is a station near his house with E85 and I told him to mix like I do. He tried it, and says the Explorer runs great with about E30. No pinging and cheaper than high test. What do you guys think about running a 2012 Focus on approx E30? Just bought it last weekend, and may give it a try. But don't want to mess up the warranty!! Wish we could have gotten the Flex Fuel version here.
  7. Hi folks, I have been lurking on here for several months and just decided to register. I live near Raleigh, NC and we only have one E85 pump in the entire county. (until now) The one pump is on my way to work, and for about 6-7 months I have been filling my 1995 Caprice with 14 gallons of 87 and 6 gallons of E85. It gets the same mileage on that mix as it does on 87. And it seems to run a little better. I'm happy to have this new station, and also happy that it's a blender. I wish they had E30 but I will try the E20 and E40 and see how they run in my car. My neighbor works for Novozymes and tells me that soon we will make ethanol from tree bark and grass and maybe trash. Can't wait. Our ethanol prices around here stink! E85 is usually the same or maybe 10 cents less than 87. Rob
