Colorado E85Prices.com new drop down menues and mapping
« on: July 18, 2007, 12:26:23 PM »
OK Colorado ..your State is finished.

The new script is installed.

You no longer have to type out anything except the prices .

The Station, City and addresses are all in drop down menu boxes !   AND the script creates and auto link to your station !

I made a Fort Collins on Drake submission so you can check out how how the map link works

http://e85prices.com/colorado.html

I have about to populate the database for the drop down menues for rest of the States ..about 1200 listings .. so going to take me a few days.

You guys see any "bugs"  let me know

Can you add the following stations to the Colorado drop down choices:
Western Convenience: 11515 S. Parker Rd, Parker, CO 80134
and
Western Convenience: 1650 S. Chambers Rd, Aurora, CO 80017

I can confirm that both of these stations had E-85 ($2.09 vs reg at $2.71) as of yesterday.

Thanks!

I sure will.. thanks yas ..

the database is down right now ..but well get to it this afternoon

If I log in with FF, then close the tab and open a new one, I'm still logged in.

If I close the browser and re-open it, and click on login, the fields are empty. I'm not clearing anything at shutdown, except temp files (which I do on all browsers) and don't have trouble with cookies anywhere else. The settings you mention are unchecked.

Your cookies are set to expire at the end of the session, so working as expected.  :P

Oh, crap, didn't try that. :P

Nope, still broke. At least IE7 remembered my login when I double-clicked on the empty fields. Nothing in FF.

Firefox 2.0.0.6  works fine.. May also be in your security settings.

You may have it so that FireFox clears your private data after each browser close...

Actually I think it is working fine.. If you close your browser and reopen a browser ..simply click login ..and your cookies should have saved your login info .. you do not need to type your login info in again ..correct ?

Also, a correction for you: In Breckenridge, MN, Breck Amoco is misspelled and the address should be 206 5th St. South. 40 cent diff from E10, so not nearly as good as the KwikTrip in Apple Valley.

Done.. anyone else see any errors address, city etc.. Station names change all the time..let meknow and I'll get those changed..
I'll start a sticky thread for those types of changes ...

Thanks Rick..  most of the dups were from thinking I needed a to repeat Cities for multiple stations in the same City (instead of simply associating multiple stations on the same city..duh ;))..  there may be 20 or so total..

I belive the issue with your name may be because I have guest posting on(not requiring a login right now) ..I simply approve the listings in the admin panel... Are you logging in and cookies are still not working ?

Sorry, I don't see any place to log in at E85prices, unless I need to launch the shortcut from e85vehicles....

Hi Dan,
Submitted my first entry yesterday with the new system.... Pretty slick.

I noticed several duplicate cities for MN. I'm not sure if you entered all those manually or if it was part of an automatic process. It's just an appearance issue. I appreciate your use of an Ajax script instead of loading another page. ;)

My only complaint is having to retype my name and email each time. Usually Firefox remembers that for me. I don't know if it's because the page doesn't validate or if it's due to missing id tags for those two fields or if it's due to use of the fieldset. I suppose a cookie script could repopulate those fields. Still it's a work in progress and much better than what we had last week. Keep up the good work...
