Hello Jeepin.. Next Update directions will be coming. The Main request for the App was an easier way to submit prices so that was the focus for version 1.

A video might be nice too (once the feature set is complete).

No complaints submitting prices, unless a wheel control could be used so a keyboard wasn't necessary? (Only if that would be faster.) It could default to the last submitted price.

Favorites: Adding some preset sorts on the favorites would be nice (closest, cheapest e85). Can they be color coded (or a different icon) based on freshness? (Month-old prices don't mean much these days.)

Map: I'd like to see my location on the map and when I change the station at the top, have the station centered on the map. Ideally (not sure if this is possible) would be to change the zoom so my current location AND the selected station are both visible, if the distance between them isn't more than a few miles.

I'm guessing that working with the map is probably the hardest to implement tho.

As long as you have GPS on then it will display Stations on the Map to whatever radius you set it for.. look at "settings" on the APP ..at the bottom there is a radius slider..1 mile-200 miles radius

I don't know if this helps or might have been covered already. My new GPS (Garmin 2495) puts in favorites from Google maps.

If you have, i.e., and E85 station, you click on "More", then "Send", then select GPS (which has to be connected to your PC) and it ads it as a favorite.

This works for any location in Google maps of course. It is a bit of work to do, yet works. Any input on how to get that done faster and easier is very much appreciated.

I'm glad I can use the app to post prices, as I did yesterday. Probably going to Tennessee in 2 weeks for vacation with the family, and will be a good tool to post prices at that time, instead of waiting to get back to the place we're staying and hopefully remember to post the price. I haven't played with the app much, but can it use gps to show your location and the nearest stations around you?

Johnny ..that's great to hear because I stressed the point to the developer that one of the main features had to be very easy posting of prices and yes I agree he nailed that. I am able to post prices with hand ..actually just my thumb..

oh btw you were the first download !

Developer did a very nice work ..!!

Directions ...yeah I also feel that should top the list in the next version/update as well as the ability to register to post prices right from the APP.

James.. yeah sorry buddy cant extend free trials..then we have people using it for vacation/trip then asking for a refund. It's just $2.99 ..less than the price of a hamburger ..

Yeah you need a smartphone and service.. the absolute best if you don't talk a lot but want unlimited web (5gigs) deal is T Mobiles $30 a month pre pay ..NO CONTRACT ...that's 4G speed for $30 !(skip months if you like..)

I'll be emailing the Feds offices the APP ..so they are aware of It.

Personally I don't have a smart-phone. My wife and kid do, but I'm low man on the list in my house and still use an old-fashioned "dumb" phone.

I'd like to second James's idea... find some one high on the chain of command with states in the ethanol belt on the government purchasing chain, and pitch this to them to help increase use of e85 for their fleets... maybe pitch it to their state ethanol/corn boards first to have them voice their support for the idea...

We're hearing a lot on the federal government side about the lack of use of E85- and they are sending out memos, etc trying to get people to use E85. The biggest thing, of course, is the general lack of knowledge by fed employees that they are supposed to use it, and also finding stations.

Perhaps you can add a welcome screen for federal employees, link in a couple of the executive orders, and call it "Fed-Flex E85", or something, and sell a version just for federal employees.

Just my 2 cents ... Marketing is everything, you know.

Keep in mind the APP has to connect to a remote database..that speed will mostly depend on whether you are on a 3g or 4g network and how fast your connection is at any specific place or time of day
