From Growth Energy's Marketing newsletter, here is a new station in northern CA (as well as WA and NY):

"New E85 and Blender Pump Stations
As of this publication, there are 2,102 E85 stations. Three new E85 facilities have opened since our last newsletter.

Pacific Pride 917 Cotting Lane Vacaville CA  (707) 451-8201
Navy Exchange 1015 W Midway, Bldg 2595 Oak Harbor WA
Water Mill Fuel Complex-Shell 960 Montauk Hwy Watermill NY

If you know of an E85 station we do not have listed at www.e85refueling.com, please contact us at marketdevelopment@growthenergy.org."

http://www.e85fuel.com/news/fyi/011810fyi.htm

This Vacaville location is an additional E85 pump for Interstate Oil.

http://www.interstateoil.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14&Itemid=34

Now there are E85 pumps in most major cities from the East end of the Sacramento Area all the way to the San Francisco Bay Area!!  8)

The second E85 station at the I-80 and Reed Avenue exit opened on Wednesday, May 13.  I filled up there tonight and the price spread was huge:  E85 = 1.899 and unleaded reg gas at 2.659.  The station is:

76 (DMC Green Inc.)
705 Harbor Pointe Place
West Sacramento CA  95605
916 371-1674

I posted the prices for the Reed Avenue Shell on e85prices.  They were also selling E85 at 1.899 (reg unleaded was 2.559).

Question:  How do you prefer prices posted?  Should $1.899 be listed as 1.89 or 1.90?  Perhaps you could tweak the price submission field to include the 9/10.

Hey TSmith-I visited with the manager at the Sac Airport Arco today; he said that they are still in the permitting/engineering process; so probably months away.  He did say that the airport fleet is changing over to E85, so if they are making that investment at least this E85 install looks pretty certain to happen.

That will be good; not many E85 stations on I-5 yet, mostly on Hwy 99 & I-80 so far.  Also, it seems like the airport Arco gets plenty of business.

Morning TSmith.. I posted your price as well.. http://e85prices.com/california/sacramento.html

I was in downtown Sacramento tonight, and another E85 ethanol station is open.  This one will be huge for the area, as it is close to the state capitol building, with all of the govt workers and their state-owned flex-fuel vehicles.  It had good prices:  1.999 for ethanol vs 2.439 for regular unleaded.  They opened Monday afternoon (May 4th).

Shell (Green Wave Fuel)
730 29th Street (H Street exit of of Capital City Freeway)
Sacramento CA  95816
ph 916 448-8003

I also heard that the Arco station by the entrance to the Sacramento airport is installing E85 ethanol pumps.  Next time someone is visiting the airport, please check on this.  Thanks.

Dan, thanks for adding it.  All these new stations are the results of the momentum ethanol had through 2007.  That funded cost-sharing for all of these complete new installs.  Due to the new CA ARB decision about iLUC & LCFS, when cap and trade takes place through AB 32, CA will have to have lots (over a billion gallons) of non-corn ethanol in production, or else these E85 stations could go the way of the methanol stations CA had a long time ago, long gone.

Here comes another E85 station for metro Sacramento...
DMC Green Inc will open their Elk Grove, CA station at noon on Tuesday, May 5th.  The station will have E85 ethanol and B5 biodiesel.  It is:

     Complete Performance
     8999 Elk Grove Blvd.
     Elk Grove CA  95624
     ph 916 685-4708

I attended their Davis CA opening and it was very nice.  Unfortunately, I can not make this one.  If you have the opportunity to go, I would highly recommend it.  The DMC Green folks will be there and they have big plans for 40 more ethanol stations.

Thanks for the updates on the Sacramento stations guys.  I just wish they would open a few more in the LA area.  We've got a grand total of one (Brentwood).
