E85 Finally For Sale in Lewis County - Chehalis , WA
« on: May 08, 2008, 04:00:48 PM »
It costs about $3 a gallon, comes out of a yellow hose and smells a little bit like corn syrup.

Wilcox and Flegel Oil Co.?s Airport Depot Texaco, in Chehalis, is now the first gas station along the Interstate 5 corridor between Portland and Seattle to serve E85 fuel, according to company officials.

The mixture is comprised of up to 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline, and designed for flex-fuel vehicles to provide renewable fuel produced domestically.

The pump opened last week, becoming the Longview-based company?s fifth site with an E85 pump.

The company also runs a full bio-fuel station a few miles from I-5 in Longview, on Oregon Way, that offers B5 biodiesel, and E10 unleaded, plus and supreme gasoline, as well as E85. The station was switched to provide all bio-fuels about six months ago.

?It?s been more profitable and done more volume since we?ve made the switch, so I?d say there?s been a very good response to it,? said Aaron Wilcox, who works on special projects for the company.

Since then, E85 pumps have been added to Wilcox and Flegel gas stations in Seaview, Bingen, Marysville and, most recently, Chehalis.

?We?ve seen it be very, very popular in our Longview station,? he said. ?It?s been a really strong performer for us.?

The E85 has actually outsold supreme and plus gasoline and diesel, he said, and the company will likely look to add a pump for the sweet-smelling fuel in Olympia sometime in the future. .....

Really Nice Price Spread 20% http://e85prices.com/washington.html

Amazes me how States so far removed from ethanol plants are able to offer such good prices/spreads and places like Michigan surrounded by corn and ethanol plants  cant get their heads out of their rear
