E85 Tax Rebate to End
Bismark Forum reporter Janell Cole just
reported that the .22 tax rebate for consumers for using E85 will end sooner
than expected.
The legislature set the .22 discount to end once 1.2 Million gallons of E85
was reached expecting it to take a few years because in all of 2004 consumers
only purchased 11,000 gallons of E85 ..in July alone consumers purchased 158,00
gallons !.
So it's clear North Dakotans are well on their way to making E85 a common
alternative fuel to unleaded.
E85 is 85% Ethanol and 15% petroleum
